CO-ESS

Helping any way we can.

Services

CO-ESS provides a wide range of services that help public safety agencies operate safer and more effective.

Operational Support

CO-ESS provides specialized resources and manpower to help public safety agencies. Support includes Unmanned Aerial System (Drone) Operations , Traffic Control, Evidence Search, Water Rescue, Rope Rescue, Fire Scene Rehab, and many other specialized support operations.

Equipment Recycle

Often times agencies acquire newer or upgraded equipment, while the old equipment is still fully functional it often sits unused or gets auctioned off for pennies. This used equipment is often very useful for smaller or volunteer agencies that don't have the same resources as major urban agencies.  CO-ESS takes donations of this equipment and manages the redistribution to other agencies.

Equipment Donation

Equipment taken in from our recycling program is inspected, repaired, and refurbished. Equipment is then cataloged and stored until it can be matched with an agency that is in need of that equipment or otherwise disposed of to support our missions needs.

Training Support

CO ESS has trained and certified instructors in a wide variety of specialized rescue and emergency service disciplines and can assist in providing training to agencies in need. Instructors teach Rope Rescue, Ice Rescue, Emergency Vehicle Operations, Traffic Control & Roadway Management, Subterranean Evidence Location, CO-Lifetrak, and more.

Volunteers

All of our services are made possible by volunteers. CO-ESS is a 100% volunteer organization with no paid employees. Volunteers manage, plan, train, and conduct all of the organizations operations. Volunteer positions include Board Members, Command Staff, Operations Members, and Admin Staff.

Board Members handle the organizations oversight and manage our budget. The Board is Comprised of a mix of civilian and public safety personnel.

Command Staff oversees the Operational Members and is responsible for the day to day operations and training.

Operations Members respond to emergencies and requests for support thorough our operational areas, this can be anything from deploying our Small Unmanned Aerial Systems (Drones)  with onboard thermal, traffic control for major emergencies, technical rescue, or medical support and rehab for fire department operations.

Admin Staff help with a wide variety of day to day tasks, many Admin Staff can work remotely and on their own schedules. Admin staff could be specialized skilled staff like accounting and book keeping personnel or legal counsel or general staff that helps inventory and manage donated equipment, keeps records, liaisons with partner agencies, and assists with other tasks.
